The Salesian Polytechnic University was established in 1994 with its main campus in Cuenca, located in a popular neighborhood with a Salesian tradition known as the El Vecino parish, where the Salesian Technical School was situated. From the initial facilities and workshops of the Salesian Technical School, the Salesian Polytechnic University has increased its student population, leading to expansions in facilities, laboratories, library services, dining areas, and sports facilities, characteristic of a modern university that currently accommodates around 6000 students.
